Gherman Titov
A Soviet cosmonaut who became the second human to orbit the Earth in 1961. At age 25, he remains the youngest person to fly in space and was the first to spend a full day in orbit. Barnaul Airport was named in 2010 to commemorate his contributions to early space exploration and his ties to the Altai region.
